Privacy policy
Clean My Song accepts an audio file you choose, processing options, and an optional email address. No account is required.
How processing works
Vercel hosts the website and API. Private job files are stored with Tigris or Vercel Blob, depending on the active deployment. Modal or Lightning AI runs the audio models and FFmpeg processing, depending on available capacity. Resend receives your email address only if you request a completion email. Stripe processes payment details if you buy song credits. Clean My Song does not receive or store your full card number. Vercel Analytics provides aggregate site usage data.
What is retained
Input audio, generated audio, job status, and a result manifest are private. Completed job files are available for one hour after processing finishes, then scheduled for deletion. Unfinished jobs and abandoned uploads are removed after their cleanup window. Rate limiting uses a keyed, shortened fingerprint derived from network and browser information. It is retained for about two hours and is not used for advertising.
A signed browser identifier tracks the free song and any purchased credits without requiring an account. Privacy-safe funnel records contain an opaque job key, event name, time, broad duration bucket, worker tier, and processing provider. They do not contain filenames, lyrics, email addresses, raw IP addresses, or audio.
Your controls
The private job capability is stored in your browser so a refresh can resume the job. The free-song and credit identifier is stored as a signed, HTTP-only cookie. Clearing it can disconnect remaining credits from that browser because there is no account recovery. Anyone with a job capability could access that job until it expires, so do not share it. Selecting Start over requests immediate cancellation and deletion.
Important limits
Deletion is requested immediately, but a worker already processing a file may take a short time to stop and may consume temporary compute storage before its cancellation check. Provider backups and security logs can follow provider retention schedules.
